TAO WellShell & TAO Chair Featured at WIRED Health 2015

Friday, April 24th,

30 Euston Square, 1 Melton Street, London NW1 2FB

London, England – April 20, 2015 – As part of its WIRED Health event, WIRED Magazine is presenting the Wired Health Clinic. TAO-Wellness is one of only 19 companies, world wide, selected to showcase what’s next in the digital health landscape.

The Wired Health Clinic is an exhibition of innovative, new products. The TAO WellShell and the TAO Chair will be highlighted and all attendees can try them and get an exercise break.

TAO WellShell is a Tiny Gym in Your PocketTM, allowing you to Take Exercise AnywhereTM. A cell-phone sized device you press to perform isometric based reps that work the core and combat the ill effect of too much sitting.

You can work out with the TAO WellShell at the office, on the plane, while watching the kids, anywhere.

The TAO Chair, on the other hand, is for home. Want to watch the game? Catch up on “Game of Thrones”? Binge on “MadMen”? You can still burn calories and work your core without upsetting the social scene in your living room.

“It’s exciting to be able to bring these products to the UK,” says Viktor Kalvachev, TAO Chief Creative Director and designer of the TAO Chair exercise arms. “I think the English suffer from the same problems of Americans – too much sitting.” Mr. Kalvachev will be on hand to show off his creation personally. “We’ve been working on TAO for four years and have five issued patents and more than a dozen pending.”

TAO is also an excellent way to play your favorite mobile games, so now you can get ripped while playing JetPack JoyRide, Whales Trail, Canabalt, Go Ninja, Borderlands, and many other games. TAO even developed its own, multi-player Sumo Wrestling game!

All will be on display at WIRED Health in London this Friday, April 24th. Once you try TAO, you’ll be a believer.

The TAO approach to fitness and wellness focuses on simplicity, balance and harmony. With TAO, users can exercise at their desk, on the airplane, while watching TV or watching the kids.   The exercises – called “Variobics™” – use the same isometric principles as Pilates, yoga and planking. However, TAO takes it a step further by adding a dynamic element. It requires you to vary the pressure by coaching you through your workout, and then electronically capturing the results.

People at CES were blown away (which is why TAO was nominated for Best of CES) – doing a set of reps with TAO is serious exercise.
