At this gala event, he had a chance to reconnect with Governor Sandoval. A photo of the two of them together at the event was featured last week in the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Governor Sandoval first learned about TAO Wellness last January at CES 2014, where he had a chance to try the Wellshell himself and was quite impressed!

TAO Team Bio: Dr. Kostadin Yanev

Meet Dr. Kostadin Yanev, nuclear physicist, mathematics professor, athlete, entrepreneur, Co-Founder of TAO-Wellness, and inventor of TAO.

He had isometric training as a youth when he played for the Bulgarian Junior National Basketball team, so he set about combining that knowledge with today’s technology. Kosta worked for academic and industrial […]

Manufacturing Update and TAO API: The Hard and Soft (ware) of It

Hardware
Product development is an interesting process, and as it unfolds we are learning so much about what it takes to make new hardware. It is very exciting to have the opportunity to create a product that is like nothing else on the market, but it also means that we have to invent things as we go. We are blazing new trails!

We received the first batch of TAO WellShells off the assembly line and unfortunately the device did not pass our quality assurance tests. As eager as we are to get TAOs out there, we know that if the […]

TAO™ – What’s in a Name?

tao-logo

Many folks have asked why our device is called TAO. We like the ancient TAO philosophy advocating a balanced life, but the name actually came from the clinical description of an isometric exercise.

In a typical isometric exercise, one of your muscles exerts pressure, and another resists, exercising both in the process. The exercise itself is the “Task,” while one muscle is the “Actor” and the other muscle is the “Opponent.”
